god, I haven't posted anything in foreverrrrr.

getting closer to my birthday... it always makes me feel depressed. listening to joy division nonstop doesn't exactly ease the brainmeats either.

Ever since that epic ebay dress, the sound of a cleverly placed zip going up has become music to my ears.

DOWN AT HEEL

All I want are long dresses and skirts at the moment. I'm really feeling Marios Schwab Fall 08...






They're not quite as fabulous as the Schwab dresses obviously, but I got two long, tight, stretchy skirts the last time I was at the Salvation Army, one in black velvet and one in grey jersey. And I've been wearing the ever-loving tar out of them. Hobble skirts are love, what can I say!

Dries Van Noten: long dresses and skirts are my #1 favorite thing this season, not to mention great sunglasses and TURBANS!

Gareth Pugh: I love the idea of white coming and black going all in one outfit.



Balmain: Fabulous jackets, and the best argument for $1000 jeans.



Nina Ricci: Style.com didn't like it, but I always love Olivier Theyskens' beautiful prints.



Yohji Yamamoto: Duochrome simplicity.

SPRING IN NEW YORK

new york fashion week is usually not my favorite. for the truly weird and wonderful, I almost always prefer london and paris. staerk, cynthia rowley (of all designers!) and a little vera wang had some great moments, though they made me think more of what to wear for fall than for spring...
